German for Physicians

Course Objectives

We support international physicians in language acquisition, which will be evaluated as part of the recognition process and in applying for the license to practice medicine in a specialized language examination, the so-called “Fachsprachenprüfung” held by the respecitve Land Chambers of Physicians. If the evidence of vocational qualification was issued in a third country, an aptitude and knowledge test may be necessary, which can only be passed with the command of medical German language skills at C1 level.
The goal of our work is to support successful communication in everyday work in German hospitals and doctors' offices to ensure high quality patient care, effective inter-collegiate exchange and a long-term bond to the institution.

Course Offers

For in-house trainings in hospitals the specific objectives are determined with the head physician and HR. After the assessment of the oral and written language command of your employees, we then create an customised offer tailored to the individual needs for group or individual courses. The spectrum ranges from short modules that focus on individual aspects such as pronunciation training or the writing of medical reports to courses that aim for the achievement of a B2 or C1 level and can optionally be completed with a recognized specialist language exam. In conjunction to the educational program of your facility it serves as a close interlinking of professional linguistic and technical issues.
In addition we regularly offer courses in our training center for doctors, which need language preparation for the recognition procedure and the issue of the approbation/working permit in Germany.
